Opening of New
Furniture Consignment Store
On Saturday, March 14,
Wooden-it-be-Nice Furniture Consignment,
co-owned by Marlborough residents Donna
Finocchiaro and Doreen Chapman, will open in the
former Marlborough Country Barn Complex. The
business is located on the second floor between
the Mill House and the newly opened Barkery. It
will mostly feature gently used quality
furniture, antique pieces, a select collection
of china and unusual glassware. The complex now
goes by the name Village Shoppes at Marlborough
and is featuring a series of events over the
coming weeks that are free to the public.
Wooden-it-be-Nice is open Tuesday, Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday from 10-5, Thursdays from
10-7 and Sundays from 10-3. Both in-town and
out-of-town pick ups are available at a nominal
cost or drop-offs are allowed during scheduled
times. “We are very excited to bring quality
furniture at discounted prices to Marlborough
through our furniture consignment store. It is a
limited resource in the region and a concept
that has been well received in this downward
economy,” states Finocchiaro. Chapman adds, “We
feel the timing is right for this type of
business and we are excited to be located in
such a well known landmark”.
The store will open its doors on Saturday, March
14th with the Grand Opening occurring some time
in May when the weather gets warmer. If you or
someone you know has items to consign, please
contact Donna at 860.836.6244 or Doreen at
860.918.0266. These are temporary store numbers
until the new phone lines are in place.
