Neighbor to Neighbor

Paula Weber, an active Marlborough Business Association member, is an Area Representative for the interactive marketing service, Neighbor to Neighbor. For the past fourteen years, Paula has visited new residents homes , leaving them with a package of information on the town, local services, and of course, business information. Her territory covers East Hampton, Marlborough and Colchester. Paula stays busy throughout the year, but her busiest times are during the summer and the month of December. She strives to visit each new resident, and has contact with 97% of new residents in her three towns.

Her welcome kit includes information on the town and services provided. Phone numbers for town hall and administrative offices, fire and police, houses of worship, and recreation facilities are included, as well as a calendar of events taking place in that town. Also included in the kit is information on non-profit groups in the area, and a listing of civic organizations for each town. Paula has about twenty sponsoring businesses that participate in the Neighbor to Neighbor welcome kit, including fitness centers, restaurants, dentists, and financial advisors. All these businesses are part of the community, and the sponsoring businesses help new residents feel right at home!
Paula explains, “Each business has the exclusive right to market to the new residents through sponsorship in their field. It truly is an interactive presentation of information.” Paula prides herself on the personal attention she is able to devote to new residents, and the knowledge she has of her business sponsors. Paula keeps up with her sponsors by contacting them once a month to provide them with new resident information, and to also talk to them about changes to their business, promotions or and additional flyers or inserts they would like included. This allows businesses to make changes as needed to their sponsorship.

As a member of the Marlborough Business Association, there is a 10% discount off the initial set up fee to new business sponsors that would like to reach new customers in their local area.
