B-Law, a member of the Marlborough Business Association (MBA), and new MBA Board member, Attorney Diana Bartolotta began her practice in 2006 after leaving a large corporate firm.  She chose to focus her efforts on helping clients “hire attorneys for proper planning upfront, thereby saving money by eliminating expensive litigation down the road.” 

B-Law, “the big law firm for the little guy” is based in Middletown, CT, but founding attorney Diana Bartolotta stresses her associate attorneys have the  ability to practice anywhere. With advanced technology and expanded use of the internet, most employees of the firm work from home, stopping by the Middletown office for client or team meetings.  Ms. Bartolotta realizes that the practice will continue to thrive with the flexibility she offers her employees. 

Each associate focuses on 1-3 areas, “achieving excellence in the subject matter.”  The firm has attorneys that focus on criminal law, family law, and property law, including bankruptcy, consumer law, estate planning and asset protection and probate matters.  B-Law also handles real estate law, and small business matters including litigation, business transactions, employment law and intellectual property.  Ms. Bartolotta’s strength lies in the field of real estate law, and she is an active member of the real estate community. Having built several strong, professional relationships over the years, with such realtors as Prudential CT Realty, and Coldwell Banker, as well as direct lenders such as Liberty Bank, Citizens Bank, and mortgage brokers including McCue Mortgage, and Connecticut Home Mortgage, B-Law is a viable part of its community.

Ms. Bartolotta has listened to her clients, and potential clients, and has begun offering them “package deals”, including a one hour consultation and the necessary paperwork and guidelines.  Some of the packages offered by B-Law are the Basic Real Estate Investor Package, the Landlord/Tenant Package, and the Option Contracts Package.  Also offered are a Basic LLC Start up Package, as well as a Professional LLC Start up Package, and Estate Planning Packages.

In December of 2008, Attorney Bartolotta received The 2008 Entrepreneur Circle Entrepreneurial Success Story.  Ms. Bartolotta was honored for “having demonstrated the most entrepreneurial spirit.  She had the most creative idea, followed her business plan and turned her concept into a reality.”  Ms. Bartolotta holds membership in the Connecticut Bar Association, Marlborough Business Association, Middlesex County Bar Association, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and Mensa.

In the month of January, B-Law has two promotions, the first being the “New Year’s Resolution”, with a focus on getting your estate in order before it is too late.  B-Law’s “New Year’s Resolution” program will allow existing clients to receive a discount on estate planning services, i.e. wills and powers of attorney.  The second promotion is an innovative membership program, not seen before at any law firm.  B-Law allows the “member” to pay a monthly fee and have all the services, knowledge and staff on call for things like review of legal documents, including contracts, leases, mortgages, notes and estate planning documents.  The membership also gives the client access to consultation, notary services drafting letters, negotiating on your behalf, and powers of attorney.  There are three levels of membership, and B-Law is offering a discount for the service in January.   For more information on B-Law, or Attorney Bartolotta, please visit www.B-Law.com.
