MBA HOLDS MONTHLY
AFTER HOURS MEETING
On Thursday, October 23, 2008, the Marlborough
Business Association hosted its monthly member
meeting at It’s So Ranunculus Flower Shoppe on
North Main Street in Marlborough. Co-owner’s
Craig Robinson and Leah Miner graciously
welcomed members and guests to the event, and
co-host Sue Farley of Mary Kay Cosmetics
displayed her one-of-a-kind, creative gift sets.
Members and guests enjoyed a wonderful spread of
food and drink and learned about the latest
happenings with the co-hosts. The flower shop
was selected as the display florist for
Tiffany’s which recently opened at Mohegan Sun.
Owner, Leah Miner travels to the retailer weekly
to create beautiful arrangements. Sue Farley was
awarded a new Saturn Aura as a result of her
success with Mary Kay and announced her annual
Holiday Open House scheduled for November 13
through 16 where she will personalize gifts for
you.
Several door prizes
provided by the co-hosts were awarded as
follows: Orchid plants went to Kevin Haggerty of
Sadler’s and Greg Murphy of Lombardo Insurance;
a bouquet of fresh flowers went to Barbara
Gagnon of Quarry Town Antiques; a Mary Kay gift
set went to Santo Finocchiaro of CT Tile Rite;

Graves of Avoca Design and Bob Johnson of
Shaklee; and the member of the month profile
