Participants are joining a Weight Loss
Challenge inspired by the popular TV fitness
reality show “The Biggest Loser”!
Three local women with 55 years combined
experience have launched a 12 week Weight Loss
Challenge that offers a quick, easy weight loss
solution and long term weight loss success
including information on nutrition and exercise.
No specific weight loss program is required.
Recommendations will be available from the
wellness coaches.
Personal Health & Wellness Coaches are using
this format to educate the community about the
benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. The
Weight Loss Challenge is being offered on
Tuesdays at noon and 6pm at Family Nutrition &
Massage Center, 5 South Main Street,
Marlborough. Due to the overwhelming response,
registration for the fall challenge has been

The objective is for people to feel good
about themselves, achieve their weight loss
goals and have fun! The weight loss challenge is
designed to encourage accountability. Prizes
will be awarded throughout the 12 weeks.
Participants will get informational materials,
group support, a FREE body analysis, learn how
to shop, portion control, tips on dining out and
exercise, and MUCH MORE! Each participant will
have their own Personal Wellness Coach. Together
everyone WINS!
There is a one time fee of $39.00 of which
$25.00 goes into the pot to be shared by the 3
biggest losers. Participants will weigh in each
week and be measured at the beginning and at the
end of the challenge. The top 3 losers based on
percentage of body weight lost will share the
pot! That makes the competition fair for
everyone – men and women with a lot or a little
to lose. In addition there will be a prize for
the person who loses the most inches. The more
participants, the bigger the pot!
The most recent challenge group had a total
of 154.8 lbs lost in the 12 weeks and the first
prize was $300 for losing 36.8 lbs. Since the
beginning of the year, over 800 pounds have been
lost and over $2,800.00 in prize money has been
awarded.
