The
Yellow Dot Program Kicks Off in May

The kickoff of the Yellow Dot Program will be on
Senior Day, May 21st, 10am to 2pm and will commence at
the Senior Center. The Yellow Dot Program, a sub-program
of TRIAD, refers to the yellow sticker in the rear left
window of the car and is specific to Senior citizens.
The Yellow Dot is visible from the outside and is an
alert system to first responders that the vehicle driver
has special medical needs. It tells first responders to
look in the glove compartment for a medical
identification card. The medical card contains the
driver’s medical and emergency information that may
become life saving in the event of an emergency. Here’s
how it works:

Medical identification cards are
obtained at the Senior Center
-
The owner fills out the medical
card, affixes a photo for identification, and
detaches the yellow dot.

The owner sticks the yellow dot to
the rear left window of the vehicle.

The owner stores the medical card in
the vehicle glove compartment.
